Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. Job Description: BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company, is looking forward to hiring an experienced Alternative Delivery Structural Engineer! In this role, you will be trained and mentored under supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices and gain valuable exposure to company standards and exciting projects.
What You'll Be Doing: • Analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and miscellaneous structures, with guidance provided on assigned tasks as required • Effectively apply pre-established design templates • Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems • Prepare engineering reports and contract drawings for review • May assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers; technical discretion applied to first revision of technician work product • Potential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record on assigned engineering tasks • Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks • Communicate effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agencies • Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties • Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns • Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports • Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals • Contribute to the development of other team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors What Required Skills You'll Bring: • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering • Professional Engineer (PE) • Years of Experience: 4+ years
