This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for an Assistant Vice President for our Funding and Financing Strategy Service group in our Washington DC office. The following locations will also be considered: Atlanta, New York City, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, and open to other offices. The Assistant Vice President role is a senior position within the Economics, Finance and Grants team, which offers great opportunities for professional growth. You will work directly public and private organizations across the country to fund and finance their infrastructure projects and initiatives, driving both project delivery and business development for the group. Your Impact • Developing strategies to offer financial planning services across all end markets, including transit, transportation, regional economic development, community and transit-oriented community development, energy and water infrastructure, toll roads, and public-private partnership initiatives • Manage and oversee the development of financial models for infrastructure projects and economic development strategies • Overseeing and performing quantitative analyses and data analytics • Analyzing financial needs and opportunities for public agencies • Analyzing project and program funding and financing options • Researching funding and financing industry trends • Evaluating funding and financing alternatives and priorities • Developing the business case for infrastructure investments, including liaising with planners, urban planners, and engineers to assess opportunities to optimize the value and/or funding for the investment • Overseeing the development of reports, memorandums, and client ready documentation • Lead client meetings and workshops • Tracking, reviewing, and interpreting federal legislation and guidance • Providing strategic support in all phases of infrastructure planning and project development Who You Are Required Qualifications • 10+ years of relevant experience • Bachelor’s degree • Strong analytical and quantitative skills • Proven experience managing projects • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to think creatively, work independently, and deliver high quality work with minimal oversight • Ability to lead teams, synthesize problems, and communicate point of view and analytical results • Manage time efficiently while supporting multiple projects in parallel • Proven experience in transportation, infrastructure, real estate/transit-oriented development, or related sectors • Significant experience using Microsoft Office’s suite of applications and their higher level capabilities
