WSP is currently initiating a search for an Assistant Vice President, Transportation Planner for Nevada, based in the WSP Las Vegas office. Expertise • Serve as project manager, deputy project manager, and task lead and collaborate with professionals from a variety of disciplines to provide future ready transportation planning solutions for clients. • Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams to execute project work, including managing project scope, schedule, and budgets and cost-to-complete. • Coordinate with project managers, task managers, project team technical leads, subconsultants, and other disciplines such as planning, engineering, sustainability and traffic team members. • Perform professional transportation planning work and conduct investigations, and studies, to gain further information on a particular problem or issue, verify site characteristics, and/or to plan for future needs affecting transportation analysis and demand management, corridor planning, complete streets, multimodal mobility, and safety planning, PEL Studies and NEPA analyses. • Demonstrated experience applying and interpreting various traffic modeling tools (e.g., microsimulation, macroscopic, and mesoscopic models) to support transportation planning and operational analysis. • Lead and prepare drafts of transportation technical reports and memos, presentations, and other materials to summarize research, findings, and recommendations. • Lead staff to prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, reports, models, infographics, cross-sections, and 3D illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of complex and large-scale data, findings, or analyses.
