Parsons is seeking ambitious and talented Bridge Engineers to join our well-established bridge practice in our Chicago office.  The award-winning Chicago bridge group is a lead office for complex and major bridge design within Parsons.  In the past decade our engineers have grown their careers working on road, heavy rail, and high-speed rail bridges of all types, including steel and concrete girder, segmental, truss, arch and cable stayed bridges.  The Chicago office works on the most challenging and fast-paced bridge projects in the industry, in traditional and alternative delivery formats both regionally and nationally.  Our client base includes both public entities including state and county departments of transportation, and private clients. Responsibilities: • Independently develop and oversee the creation of bridge designs and plans, including calculations, drawings, technical reports, and cost estimates for procurement and construction. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical, roadway, and drainage designers. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to CAD Designers/Drafters and Engineers. • Perform complex structural analysis and design work with efficiency and accuracy. • Ensure quality and technical oversight of deliverables, maintaining a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. • Supervise and provide performance feedback for one or more subordinates.
