Job Description

This Opportunity WSP is one of the world’s leading professional services firms operating in over 50 countries and employs approximately 75,000 professionals, known as Visioneers. Together they pioneer solutions and deliver innovative projects in the transportation, infrastructure, environment, building, energy, water, and mining and metals sectors. Position Summary We’re seeking a hands-on, senior individual contributor to help build and run the Azure platform behind customer-facing, revenue-generating digital products. You’ll take standardized platform patterns (IaC, CI/CD, deployment) and turn them into real, running infrastructure that development teams can safely consume at scale. You’ll partner closely with platform architecture leaders (Platform, Network, Identity, Security, Data) who define what gets built—your role is to implement it, operationalize it, and make it repeatable.  Your Impact IaC & Platform Core • Build and govern reusable Terraform/Bicep modules for Azure Landing Zones and resource provisioning. • Implement platform CI/CD pipeline patterns, including state management and drift detection. • Create and manage Azure Policy (including initiative management with EPAC) and enable self-service consumption for product/vendor teams. • Implement cost guardrails (budgets/alerts) aligned to FinOps practices.

Networking & Security Implementation • Implement hub-spoke networking across multiple Azure regions and operationalize private connectivity (Private Endpoints, DNS zones, NSG/UDR). • Publish secure external endpoints (Azure Front Door) and implement internal/egress routing patterns (Azure Firewall). • Integrate Sentinel alerting and implement security controls directed by Security/Network architecture. • Integrate Security findings into pipeline workflows, and enforce compliance controls (ISO 27001, GDPR, regional data residency) within CI/CD.

Operations & Reliability • Implement monitoring/alerting/dashboards (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Grafana) and external monitoring. • Support incident response, runbooks, and change/release coordination for platform changes.

Continuous Improvement • Improve delivery performance (lead time, deployment frequency) through standardization and automation. • Help teams adopt standardized pipelines while balancing enablement with guardrails; represent CI/CD automation in architecture review forums.  Who You Are Required Qualifications • 5+ years in IT with deep hands-on experience in Azure DevOps automation and CI/CD best practices. • Strong experience with Terraform, Bicep, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Advanced Security. • Experience supporting customer-facing, production-grade digital products. • Strong understanding of secure software delivery and compliance enforcement in pipelines (artifact integrity, signing, provenance). • Comfortable operating with senior autonomy and collaborating with product engineering teams. • Practical, regular use of AI-assisted tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot) in production workflows.  • FinOps exposure and cost-aware automation. • Multi-region Azure experience with data residency constraints. • Experience with Azure Landing Zones (CAF-aligned) / enterprise-scale reference architecture and governance forums.
