Entry Level Construction Inspector

This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Entry Level Construction Inspector for our Utah office for projects based in Utah. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact • Read and interpret project plans and specifications • Monitor construction for compliance with project documents • Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures • Prepare daily work reports; prepare and maintain documentation of contractor work performed, materials testing and traffic control based on construction plans and specifications; using Masterworks, spreadsheets, and other electronic or manual means • Inspect road and bridge construction (based on UDOT Standards) • Experience with UDOT documentation • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

#LI-TD1 Who You Are Required Qualifications • High School Diploma and basic knowledge of construction practices • Minimum experience of 0-2 years • Basic ability in analyzing and escalating technical problems • Ability to produce quality technical and professional reports • Valid Utah driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications: • UDOT Masterworks Trained • Ability to achieve UDOT Construction Training Program Level I, within six months of being hired • Experience on UDOT projects • Bituminous Paving Experience • Concrete Paving Experience • Direct experience working for UDOT or another firm with UDOT exposure • ATTSA Traffic Control Certification, Sampling Reduction & Density (SRDTT), Moisture/Density Gauge Certification, ACI or CTT Concrete Certification or the ability to become certificated within 6 months of hire
