Job Description

AECOM is seeking experienced Environmental Project Manager for a hyrbrid role, for either our Charlotte or Raleigh, North Carolina office withleaking underground storage tank (UST) investigation/remediation experience (retail petroleum), particularly working with the NCDEQ UST Trust Fund. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate UST investigation/remediation project experience and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing scope, schedule, and budget for large-sized investigation/remediation and construction projects.

  • Preparing cost estimates and proposals, and maintaining financial KPIs

  • Completing a variety of remedial designs

  • Building strong client relationships

  • Client and regulatory correspondence

  • Technical report writing and review

    • Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Geology, or closely related field and (2) two years of Project Management experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    • Due to the nature of this role, US citizenship is required. Sponsorship will not be offered for this role at this time or in the future

    • Qualified applicants who are offered the role will be subject to a background check, motor vehicle records check.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 8 years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on site investigation / remediation

    • 4 years of project management experience

    • Experience working with the NCDEQ UST Trust Fund on leaking UST projects and completing reimbursement claims

    • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training

    • OSHA 30-Hour Construction (supervisor)

    Additional Information

    Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $80000 to $110000.
