Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Lead

WSP is initiating a search for an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Lead for our Illinois practice. The position will be based out of our Chicago office.

We are looking for someone that is an excellent communicator, is highly strategic, can influence and inspire others, and brings a deep understanding of the Illinois ITS industry, clients and competition. We are future-focused and are looking for a leader who can leverage technology and global resources to bring innovative solutions to our clients. We believe in shaping the future. The right candidate will be an empathetic leader who will work closely with WSP offices and collaborate with staff across the country to bring the best ideas to our Illinois and Midwest clients. • Building and sustaining exceptional client relationships and industry contacts,

• Providing best-in-class subject matter expertise,

• Managing complex project delivery, and

• Executing winning pursuits toward a sustained pipeline of ITS projects.

Your Impact

• Serve as project manager, deputy project manager, or technical task lead for ITS projects.

• Grow our Illinois ITS team.

• Collaborate with Local Business Leaders, and the National Business Line to drive business growth in the Illinois market, focusing on ITS and V2X.

• Perform a range of marketing and business development activities within the region, including gathering client intelligence, leading pursuits and proposal development, presentations, manpower and fee estimates.

• Represent the firm in the market through involvement in client and industry events and associations to promote WSP’s capabilities, gather market intelligence gathering and develop a pipeline of opportunities.

• Develop promotional and proposal material.

• Interface with staff from a range of other disciplines to support a diverse range of projects across business lines.

• Provide leadership and ensure standards are adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.
