Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Mid-level Environmental Scientist III to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team. We are seeking candidates to fill a seconded role as an on-site Health & Safety Specialist for a program in Rancho Cordova, California . This full-time position within our Environmental group will provide and coordinate support related to Health & Safety and Environmental Compliance in a research and development laboratory and office setting. The duration of this position will be contingent upon AECOM maintaining our contract with the client.
Job Summary/Responsibilities:

Manage and support health, safety and environmental projects and programs, including planning, coordination, execution, and tracking of deliverables to ensure compliance and timely completion.

Conduct on‑site inspections to evaluate compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., air, water, waste, hazardous materials).

Review permits, plans, records, and monitoring data to verify adherence to regulatory requirements and permit conditions.
