Professional Civil Engineer

The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.

Design and Drafting:

• Lead project design from concept through completion
• Develop civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) Permitting and Compliance:
• Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
• Review planning and zoning board applications Project Collaboration:
• Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs
• Attend project meetings and municipal board meetings Technical Reports:
• Create engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support project design and decision-making

Experience:

• 4–8 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in municipal capital improvement projects Technical Proficiency:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software; knowledge of stormwater management software is a plus Licensing:
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus or a willingness to obtain it Skills:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
