Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Resident Engineer for immediate employment in Orange County, California. The Resident Engineer (RE) will be responsible for the effective administration of the construction contracts and will interact closely with the Construction Manager (CM) and the Owner. The RE is the primary point of contact to the construction Contractor and serves in this lead role being responsible to the Owner in providing the necessary coordination with Construction Contractors, Project Engineers, Inspectors, the Owner, and other agencies. The RE will have the primary responsibility for quality assurance of the construction. Chair Preconstruction Meetings with the Contractor, Subcontractors, Project Design Engineer, and the Owner.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Providing a cursory review of Contractor submittals for completeness and compliance with the specification requirements while monitoring the Submittal and RFI review process

Process or facilitate all communications between the Contractor, Owner, Project Design Engineer, and the Program Manager.
