System Operator III QAQC

WSP is currently initiating a search for a System Operator III (Lead Operator, Quality Assurance/Quality Control) for our Long Island City, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Mobility Operations Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges:

Your Impact

• Be responsible for reviewing systems at Joint Transportation Management Center (JTMC), and electronic media outlets that utilize and redistribute JTMC data, for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) data quality assurance

• Establish document handling and storage procedures for ITS data and material related to the JTMC

• Monitor 511NY to ensure accuracy of incident, roadwork, special event entries, as well as variable message board (VMS) messaging

• Review incidents entered into the T-Rex to ensure accuracy and compliance with NYSDOT procedures

• Mentor and train new staff as needed.

• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma

• Minimum of 5 years of qualifying experience with TMC type facility and/or traffic management

• Oral and written communication

• Computer/Software – including MS Office applications, spreadsheets and databases

• Personnel management

• Public, internal and external relations (works well with internal, external and partner groups and individuals)
