WSP is currently initiating a search for a South Texas Traffic Engineering/ITS Practice Lead for our Transportation Team in our San Antonio, TX office!
The South Texas Traffic/ITS Practice Lead will focus on workload, business development, marketing, and project pursuits that will help to further strengthen our presence in Texas and Louisiana markets. This person will provide leadership to a talented group of professionals spanning all career levels as they work on a multitude of transportation projects. The South Texas Traffic/ITS Practice Lead will rely upon Civil Engineering background to excel at client relations, business development and mentoring staff.
Be involved in projects with our Texas-Louisiana Region Leadership Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
The right candidate will help to mentor staff as well as help to increase the San Antonio office's footprint with key clients across South Texas. They will be responsible for a growing staff, personnel management, project management and reporting to regional management statewide.
Your Impact
• Provide leadership, oversight, mentoring and overall management of the San Antonio Traffic Team.
• Leads growth and development of the San Antonio Traffic team, including interfacing with the Local Business Leaders, meeting with clients to develop and expand work, and strategically teaming with other consultants.
• Performs a range of marketing and business development activities, including gathering client intelligence, leading pursuits and proposals, and interfacing through professional organizations.
• Manages tasks as part of project development, including plan and report production.
• Interfaces with staff from a range of other disciplines (civil, planning, structures, geotechnical, etc.) to support a diverse range of projects.
• Improve overall quality and delivery of projects throughout discipline.
• Assists in supporting agency coordination, permitting, and public participation activities.
• Participate in ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures on all projects.
• Coordinate in tandem with WSP statewide counterparts to develop strategies for: key hires, project pursuits, team growth, area growth and profitability, employee engagement and satisfaction.
