How we source jobs

Civil Engineer Base lists real, open civil engineering jobs. Here is where they come from and how we keep them accurate.

  1. 1

    Straight from employers

We collect listings from employers' own public career sites and applicant-tracking systems, and federal roles from the official USAJOBS site. We don't copy listings from other job boards.

  2. 2

    Civil engineering only

Every job is sorted into a discipline (structural, transportation, water, geotechnical and so on). Roles outside civil engineering and construction are rejected and never published.

  3. 3

    Checked before publishing

New listings go through automated checks (discipline, US location and duplicates) before they appear, and anything uncertain is held for a person to review. Jobs that employers send through our Post a Job form are always reviewed by hand.

  4. 4

Pay only when the employer states it

We show salary only when the employer's posting includes it. We don't publish estimated pay as if it were posted.

  5. 5

You apply on the employer's site

The apply button opens the employer's own posting (or USAJOBS). If our listing and the employer's page ever disagree, the employer's page is the one to trust.

  6. 6

    Closed jobs are taken down

We re-check sources regularly. When a job is no longer on the employer's site, we take it down.
